The score Dear Old Stockholm, composed by Childvian Petsibyl, reflects the stylistic idioms of the modern pop keyboard selections. Worldwide rights catalogs anchor this title under ISWC code `T-7AF.4A1.AD-1`.

Designed for Beginner level pianists (introductory piano syllabus (RCM Preparatory Level)), this piece demands clean articulation and hand balance. The chief hurdle entails keeping a steady beat with simultaneous hand releases and proper finger numbering. Balancing cinematic rolling bass sweeps and sustained chord foundations requires distinct volume separation between parts. Furthermore, coordinate pedaling with chord changes to maintain acoustic warmth. Practice Focus: practice with a gentle arm drop from the shoulder, letting fingertips cushion the key bed softly.

Organized under a 4/4 time signature, the music exhibits a simple quadruple meter with 4 beats per measure. At ♩ = 71 BPM (Moderato cantabile), the pacing unfolds in a manner described as poised with natural rhythmic breathing. A core performance guideline: subdivide internally with relaxed forearm weight to prevent metric stiffness across bar lines.

With A Major as the primary tonal anchor, the notation designates three sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯). Phrase arches gravitate toward A, counterpointed by coloristic pivots into F-sharp Minor and subdominant foundations in D Major. Harmonically, the progression A → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 pauses expressively on an open half-cadence, leaving harmonic expectation unresolved. Physically, playing in this key offers a luminous harmonic atmosphere demanding balanced forearm weight distribution on wide melodic shifts.

When programming this selection, music educators frequently schedule Dear Old Stockholm for contemporary vocal accompaniment, student recitals, and studio recordings. To accommodate diverse vocal registers, accompanists can transpose the A Major score: baritones rest easily in G Major, while lyric tenors and high soloists project effortlessly in B Major. From an attribution perspective: The composition is certified in the worldwide public domain, available for unfettered study, transcription, and live recital.
