Set within the harmonic domain of E-flat Major (three flats (B♭, E♭, A♭)), the score secures tonal focus on E♭. Expressive depth is enhanced through secondary pivots into C Minor and dominant reinforcement via B-flat Major. Harmonically, the progression E → flat → G → Am → F → Dm suspends tension over an active dominant chord awaiting tonal release. Under the fingers, E-flat Major features a majestic keyboard architecture where three flats naturally cushion fingers two, three, and four.

Assigned an overall Easy rating (early-grades syllabus (ABRSM Grade 2 standard)), the composition exercises manual independence. The central obstacle centers on executing clean thumb crossings beneath fingers two and three during scalar shifts. In performing cinematic rolling bass sweeps and sustained chord foundations, keep finger knuckles rounded and poised. For acoustic hygiene, coordinate pedaling with chord changes to maintain acoustic warmth. Practice Tip: rehearse hands individually with a metronome at slow speeds before coordinating hands together.

In 6/8 (compound duple meter), rhythmic continuity is shaped by a rolling compound duple pulse that creates a swinging, wave-like physical sensation. The reference performance speed is ♩ = 121 BPM (*Allegro moderato*), yielding a lively with energetic forward stride tempo profile. From a phrasing standpoint, direct physical pulses toward the two dotted-quarter downstrokes rather than six isolated eighth notes.
