Encompassing 46 measures over 2 engraved pages, the work is collated from accurate modern sheet transcriptions. The foundational pitch center is B-flat Major (two flats (B♭, E♭)). Here, B♭ serves as the primary resting point, while modulations into G Minor and dominant tensions in F Major shape the emotional contour. Harmonically, the progression B → flat → G → Am → F → Dm suspends tension over an active dominant chord awaiting tonal release. From a tactile perspective, navigating this key delivers a balanced key setting where B♭ and E♭ naturally frame the right-hand thumb on middle C and F.

Targeted at Easy players (foundation study curriculum (RCM Level 1–2)), this score presents rewarding interpretive and tactile hurdles. Attention should center on securing rhythmic stability between hands and navigating gentle five-finger position changes. Accompaniment passages containing transparent two-part polyphony and classical Alberti motion require subdued dynamics to spotlight the melody. Mechanically, lift the damper pedal cleanly on phrase boundaries to preserve classical transparency. Practice Tip: count subdivisions out loud during practice to stabilize tempo and prevent rushing.

Rhythmic momentum flows through a 4/4 metric framework (simple quadruple meter). Calibrated to ♩ = 90 BPM (*Moderato grazioso*), the piece moves with a stable with buoyant, relaxed momentum pulse. As a practical study rule, avoid pounding downbeats mechanically; keep the line buoyant through intermediate pulses.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for classical concert programming and conservatory performance audits.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: When adjusting the native tonality of B-flat Major, accompanists can shift down a step to A-flat Major for lower voice types or lift the melody into C Major for tenors and sopranos. Woodwinds read comfortably using F Major.
