Nocturne No.3 Piano Sheet Music (Free PDF)

The foundational pitch center is F Major (one flat (B♭)). Here, F serves as the primary resting point, while modulations into D Minor and dominant tensions in C Major shape the emotional contour. Harmonically, the progression F → G → Am → Dm → G7 pauses expressively on an open half-cadence, leaving harmonic expectation unresolved. Keyboardists will find that F Major creates a pastoral acoustic palette where the subdominant B♭ asks for careful fourth finger extension in the right hand.

Attributed to Joseph J. Sarabia, Nocturne No.3 forms an integral entry in the contemporary classical piano repertory. Laid out across 3 pages containing 59 measures, this score draws authenticity from standard contemporary studio engravings. Work tracking associates this edition with ISWC identifier `T-C37.6CE.C4-1` and registry `mbid-c376cec4-sheetpdf`.

The temporal design is written in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), establishing a balanced metric groundwork providing grounded stability with primary weight on beat one and secondary stress on beat three. The indicated tempo mark of ♩ = 115 BPM (*Allegretto*) suggests an atmosphere that is moderately brisk, bright, and buoyant. Interpretively, avoid pounding downbeats mechanically; keep the line buoyant through intermediate pulses.

This Intermediate publication (intermediate benchmark (ABRSM/RCM Grade 4–6)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address coordinating independent dynamic levels between hands while maintaining steady metric propulsion. Passages dominated by Alberti bass patterns and contrapuntal voice exchanges benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, coordinate pedal depressions immediately after finger strikes to keep harmonies articulate. Practice Recommendation: practice left-hand harmonic leaps with closed eyes to develop spatial keyboard instinct.

Pianists frequently schedule this piece for studio recitals, competitive festivals, and scholarly score readings. For performers transposing away from F Major, optimal vocal targets include E-flat Major for medium-low voices and G Major for upper registers. B♭ transposing instruments sound in concert pitch when reading the score in G Major. This title stands in the global public domain, enabling unhindered study, liturgical execution, and recital programming.
