Assigned an overall Intermediate rating (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), the composition exercises manual independence. The central obstacle centers on managing two-part hand coordination and synchronizing pedal changes with harmonic shifts. In performing transparent two-part polyphony and classical Alberti motion, keep finger knuckles rounded and poised. For acoustic hygiene, coordinate pedal depressions immediately after finger strikes to keep harmonies articulate. Practice Recommendation: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot.

Framed in A Minor, the score establishes A through a key signature featuring zero sharps and zero flats (with G♯ serving as raised harmonic seventh). Harmonic variety is enriched through dialogue with the relative minor/major (C Major) alongside strong cadential support from E Major. Harmonically, the progression Am → Dm → G → C → F → E7 navigates expressive chord variations (F, E7) returning home cleanly. Pianistically, the key produces a transparent acoustic space requiring disciplined finger independence on descending minor scales.

The temporal design is written in 6/8 (compound duple meter), establishing a rolling compound duple pulse that creates a swinging, wave-like physical sensation. The indicated tempo mark of ♩ = 135 BPM (*Allegro con brio*) suggests an atmosphere that is brisk with sparkling rhythmic excitement. Interpretively, avoid heavy accentuation on the third and sixth eighth notes to preserve natural swing.
