Selene Piano Sheet Music (Free PDF)

Created by Arr. Dave, the composition Selene demonstrates notable craftsmanship within the contemporary pop piano repertory. Encompassing 93 measures over 5 engraved pages, the work is collated from standard contemporary studio engravings. Authority databases register this work as `mbid-2afb45b7-sheetpdf` and ISWC `T-2AF.B45.B7-1`.

The rhythmic foundation is anchored in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), yielding a steady common-time pulse providing natural rhythmic symmetry across four quarter-note subdivisions. Paced at ♩ = 83 BPM (Andante con moto), the tempo projects a moving at a tranquil, forward-leaning pulse musical mood. To refine rhythmic clarity, channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

Framed in A Major, the score establishes A through a key signature featuring three sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯). Harmonic variety is enriched through dialogue with the relative minor/major (F-sharp Minor) alongside strong cadential support from E Major. Harmonically, the progression A → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 concludes with a questioning dominant pivot that commands forward continuation. Keyboardists will find that A Major creates a luminous harmonic atmosphere demanding balanced forearm weight distribution on wide melodic shifts.

Positioned within the Intermediate repertoire (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), this work offers valuable training in balance and tone. Performers must concentrate on projecting the cantabile soprano melody while suppressing inner accompaniment voices. Navigating flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks asks for deliberate finger weight distribution. To preserve clarity, coordinate pedaling with chord changes to maintain acoustic warmth. Recommended Exercise: practice left-hand harmonic leaps with closed eyes to develop spatial keyboard instinct.

Pianists frequently schedule this piece for informal recitals, private studio practice, and collaborative accompaniment. Adapting the original A Major setting is straightforward: lower tessituras find comfort in G Major, whereas soprano instruments or solo flutes achieve singing resonance in B Major. Due to authorial timeline expiry, the piece is in the worldwide public domain for academic and commercial performance alike.
