The Time Warp (C64 Version) Piano Sheet Music (Free PDF)

Rooted in the contemporary pop piano repertory, The Time Warp (C64 Version) stands as a representative work by O'Brien arr JarvisHartshorne. The publication presents 3 pages totaling 66 notation measures, cross-checked against accurate modern sheet transcriptions. Digital music repositories index this composition under ISWC `T-B74.B2D.41-1`.

Organized under a 4/4 time signature, the music exhibits a simple quadruple meter with 4 beats per measure. At ♩ = 77 BPM (Andante con moto), the pacing unfolds in a manner described as moving at a tranquil, forward-leaning pulse. A core performance guideline: channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

This Intermediate publication (mid-tier conservatory syllabus (ABRSM Grade 5 standard)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address coordinating independent dynamic levels between hands while maintaining steady metric propulsion. Passages dominated by cinematic rolling bass sweeps and sustained chord foundations benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, coordinate pedaling with chord changes to maintain acoustic warmth. Preparatory Exercise: practice left-hand harmonic leaps with closed eyes to develop spatial keyboard instinct.

The piece operates in A Major, governed by a signature with three sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯). This tonal center positions A as the primary acoustic anchor, while F-sharp Minor and the dominant E Major supply contrasting tonal colors. Harmonically, the progression A → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 pauses expressively on an open half-cadence, leaving harmonic expectation unresolved. Keyboardists will find that A Major creates a brilliant upper tessitura demanding attentive thumb passage beneath fingers two and three during arpeggios.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for popular piano showcases, private lessons, and collaborative sessions.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: Adapting the original A Major setting is straightforward: lower tessituras find comfort in G Major, whereas soprano instruments or solo flutes achieve singing resonance in B Major.
