Metric propulsion relies on 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), giving the piece a steady common-time pulse providing natural rhythmic symmetry across four quarter-note subdivisions. Set to a metronome speed of ♩ = 93 BPM (*Andantino*), the overall character feels moderately flowing with clear articulation. Pianists should ensure that they subdivide internally with relaxed forearm weight to prevent metric stiffness across bar lines.

Positioned within the Intermediate repertoire (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), this work offers valuable training in balance and tone. Performers must concentrate on projecting the cantabile soprano melody while suppressing inner accompaniment voices. Navigating flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks asks for deliberate finger weight distribution. To preserve clarity, feather the pedal to sustain bass notes without drowning upper textures. Preparatory Exercise: practice left-hand harmonic leaps with closed eyes to develop spatial keyboard instinct.

The score Undertale Medley, composed by Flowergess, reflects the stylistic idioms of the contemporary video-games piano repertory. Cast in G Major (a single sharp (F♯)), the composition organizes its melodic arcs around G. Dynamic tension arises from modulatory motion toward the relative mode of E Minor, balanced by harmonic stabilization from C Major. Harmonically, the progression G → Am → F → Dm → G7 pauses expressively on an open half-cadence, leaving harmonic expectation unresolved. Keyboardists will find that G Major creates an open keyboard setting where the fourth finger naturally negotiates the single sharp accidental.

When programming this selection, music educators frequently schedule Undertale Medley for popular piano showcases, private lessons, and collaborative sessions. Adapting the original G Major setting is straightforward: lower tessituras find comfort in F Major, whereas soprano instruments or solo flutes achieve singing resonance in A Major. From an attribution perspective: The musical score belongs to the public domain, making it accessible for unrestricted performance and scholarly examination.
