Yuna's Ballad Piano Sheet Music (Free PDF)

Positioned within the Easy repertoire (elementary benchmark (ABRSM/RCM Grade 2–3)), this work offers valuable training in balance and tone. Performers must concentrate on securing rhythmic stability between hands and navigating gentle five-finger position changes. Navigating broken arpeggio figures and modern pulse chords asks for deliberate finger weight distribution. To preserve clarity, coordinate pedaling with chord changes to maintain acoustic warmth. Recommended Exercise: rehearse hands individually with a metronome at slow speeds before coordinating hands together.

Originating within the contemporary pop piano repertory, Yuna's Ballad by Noriko MatsuedaTakahito Eguchi exemplifies structural economy and melodic clarity. Spanning 2 pages and 50 measures, its source material derives from accurate modern sheet transcriptions. Catalog registries document the score under identifier `mbid-81972dcd-sheetpdf` with ISWC `T-819.72D.CD-1`.

Framed in E-flat Major, the score establishes E♭ through a key signature featuring three flats (B♭, E♭, A♭). Harmonic variety is enriched through dialogue with the relative minor/major (C Minor) alongside strong cadential support from B-flat Major. Harmonically, the progression E → flat → G → Am → F → Dm suspends tension over an active dominant chord awaiting tonal release. Pianistically, the key produces a rich acoustic setting favored in classical literature for its heroic warmth and sonorous chord voicings.

Cast in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), the score delivers a balanced metric groundwork providing grounded stability with primary weight on beat one and secondary stress on beat three. At ♩ = 139 BPM (*Allegro*), the musical progression remains energetic, driving, and propelled. Pedagogical directive: listen for the overarching four-bar hypermeter to keep phrases singing rather than measure-bound.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for informal recitals, private studio practice, and collaborative accompaniment.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: When adjusting the native tonality of E-flat Major, accompanists can shift down a step to D-flat Major for lower voice types or lift the melody into F Major for tenors and sopranos. Woodwinds read comfortably using B-flat Major.
