To Our God Above Draw Near Piano Sheet Music (Free PDF)

Benchmarked against Easy syllabus standards (foundation study curriculum (RCM Level 1–2)), the work develops refined tonal control. Key hurdles center on executing clean thumb crossings beneath fingers two and three during scalar shifts. Supporting figures featuring four-voice hymn textures demanding strict tenor and alto balance need relaxed wrist cushioning. Pedal coordination: use legato pedaling that connects chord roots without smearing vocal lines. Recommended Exercise: tap the rhythm on closed keyboard lid with both hands to reinforce coordination before playing notes.

With A Minor as the primary tonal anchor, the notation designates zero sharps and zero flats (with G♯ serving as raised harmonic seventh). Phrase arches gravitate toward A, counterpointed by coloristic pivots into C Major and subdominant foundations in D Minor. Harmonically, the progression Am → Dm → G → C → F → E7 navigates expressive chord variations (F, E7) returning home cleanly. For the performer, this layout is characterized by a transparent acoustic space requiring disciplined finger independence on descending minor scales.
