Sovereign Lord, I come before You today with open hands and a surrendered heart. So often, I try to script my own life, tightly holding onto my plans, my timelines, and my ideas of how things should be. But today, I recognize that Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts, and Your ways are infinitely better than mine. I consciously lay down my need for control at Your altar.
Lord, give me the faith to trust You with the unresolved areas of my life. Where there is uncertainty, let me find security in Your character. When doors close or paths change unexpectedly, shield my heart from bitterness and replace it with a quiet confidence that You are orchestrating everything for my good. I trust Your heart even when I cannot trace Your hand.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
God is whispering to us today to stop forcing pieces together that don’t fit. True peace begins the moment we stop questioning His navigation and start trusting His destination. Let go of the steering wheel and let Him lead.
May this spirit of surrender bring a profound freedom into my day. Let me work diligently, yet rest easily, knowing that the outcome belongs to You. I entrust my loved ones, my career, and my future entirely into Your sovereign keeping.
In Your precious name, I pray.
Amen.
